Job Overview
As a student or recent graduate, you are passionate about graphic design. You can speak, write and read in English.
We are looking for a Graphic Designer with video editing skills to work with our Art Director and creative team across a variety of print, digital and video projects.
The role includes editorial and print design, social media graphics, video editing, website design, image editing and branding. You will work across different clients and projects, following existing brand guidelines and templates while also developing new visual solutions when needed.
We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing projects independently, from initial brief through revisions and final delivery. Strong English communication skills and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite are essential.
This is a US-based company, and payments will be made from a US bank account to anywhere in the world. This is a freelance part-time position. 20-hours per week, combination in presence in Rome, Italy and remote work.
responsibilities
- Study design briefs and conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Design and produce magazines, books and other editorial publications using Adobe InDesign
- Create social media graphics and branded visual assets
- Edit short-form and social media videos, including footage selection, music, text, subtitles and branded elements
- Edit and retouch images in Adobe Photoshop for print, web and social media
- Update and design WordPress websites
- Work within existing brand guidelines, templates and visual systems
- Organize working files and prepare final assets for print, web, social media and video
qualifications:
- Fluent written and spoken English
- A strong graphic design portfolio
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience with editorial and print design
- Experience with video editing
- Experience creating graphics for digital and social media
- Experience with WordPress
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, hierarchy and visual consistency
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and implement feedback accurately
- Ability to work in Rome (Prati) at least 1–2 days per week
